Hexagonal Housing Pods

An amazing design by the architectural creative agency, Framlab, to provide housing for the homeless in New York. The design scheme called 'Homed' uses hexagonal pods to create living spaces. The honeycomb pods are designed to be installed against the walls of existing buildings, as space is at a premium in large cities like New York. It is not only a creative solution to the housing problem, but also brilliant design idea. It would be easy to imagine hundreds of these pods installed against a block of buildings in New York having a very futuristic feel like something out of Bladerunner. The hexagon is a naturally occurring form which maximises volume - but it is still quite amazing what you can fit inside.
